The Old Salts' Regatta is an annual Sea Scout event that has taken place in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1948. It is one of the largest and longest running Sea Scout events in the United States. Sea Scouts and Mariner Scouts across the U.S. are invited to participate.
In 2026, the Coyote Point Yacht Club and Coyote Point Marina in San Mateo, CA have generously stepped up to host the regatta during the partial government shutdown that impacts Coast Guard Island.
We are deeply grateful to the Bay Area maritime community for pulling together to support the Old Salts' Regatta and ensuring that this event continues to be available for Sea Scouts and Mariner Scouts.
⛵ Cruising: Berthing at the Coyote Point Marina is available for vessels up to 45 feet. Sleeping on board is strongly encouraged. Marina bathrooms are accessible.
